About

My work is mainly based on landscape. I like to work in quite a broad direct manner aiming to convey the character of the landscape. I enjoy responding to different types of landscape, from the cityscapes I made after visiting New York, to more rural landscapes based on places such as Dartmoor or the coastal landscapes of West Wales.
I am also interested in the process of painting and exploring different ways of working. I often use sketches or studies made on site as the starting point for paintings.
I attended both North Hertfordshire College and The University of Wolverhampton where I studied Fine Art. Since graduating in 1998 I have continued to produce art and have taken part in several exhibitions including Letchworth art centre, the Geffrye museum and Courtyard art centre in Hertford. I am also a member of Artist network Bedfordshire where I have taken part in several group exhibitions.
